12 Strangers, 1 High-Stakes Battle for a $6,000 Cash Prize: Orlando Reality Show Seeks Players

In 2021, Weekenders burst onto the scene with a mini-reality series that threw 8 strangers into a house competing for a cash prize — only to discover they’d have to buy their way into the final two. After three thrilling seasons, Weekenders Season Four is just around the corner, and Christopher Wallace, project manager at Adventurous Films LLC, is on the hunt for contestants ready to stake their claim to the $6,000 prize fund.

According to the Backstage casting call listing, Adventurous Films LLC is seeking 12 adventurous strangers and social media content creators, aged 21 and older, from across the United States who are open to embracing the unknown. These 12 strangers will compete against each other in an unforgettable sci-fi-themed weekend in Orlando, Florida — where they must prepare themselves for an intense competition of unexpected twists and "encounters with aliens" that will challenge the mind and body.

"Whether you're a sci-fi fanatic or just looking for an extraordinary adventure, this is your chance to shine," says Wallace.

Contestants compete in a series of two challenges per round to rack up points before progressing to the "Shopping Round." During the shopping round, players have the opportunity to purchase items that help them get ahead in the game with advantages in up-coming challenge rounds, as well as the opportunity to cash in their caches of 6,000 points to secure their slot in the finals.

Players can also choose to save their points by passing on purchases in the shopping round, pay 250 points to steal 500 points from another player, or spend 750 points to sabotage fellow competitors by blocking a player of their choosing from competing in the next challenge — the latter two can only be done once, so choose wisely.

Once in the final, the remaining Weekenders that did not progress to the final two will cast their vote for their preferred player by giving them their banked points. The player with the most amount of points given by their fellow challengers will receive the cash prize and the title of The Weekender.

​While the $6,000 cash prize, plus $1,000 to donate to the winner's charity of choice, is the ultimate goal, chosen contestants will be compensated a flat rate of $250 for their introductory videos and approximately 5 total days of filming; however, potential travel costs for chosen contestants to commute to Orlando for participation will not be covered.

The show is estimated to begin shooting in mid to late Summer and Fall of 2025 in Orlando. Applications to star in season 4 of Weekenders will be accepted now through January 13, 2025; would-be contestants can submit their applications online through Backstage or at WeekendersTV.net/apply.
