'Batman' Arrested for Baring It All in Back Seat of Florida Lyft

​The last place one expects to see 'Batman' is in the backseat of a Lyft — even less so stripping down beyond his tighty whities. However, according to a press release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office (PCSO), that's exactly where police found a 48-year-old resident sharing a name with the iconic comic book character, Bruce Wayne Hylton of Groveland, on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

According to PCSO, the Lyft company contacted them around 3 pm that afternoon and reported that one of their drivers was in a very uncomfortable situation in the area of Berkley Road and Daniels Way in Polk City. A deputy and an Auburndale Police Officer quickly responded and were able to locate the Lyft vehicle in question.

The driver informed the deputy that he had picked up Bruce Wayne Hylton as a passenger when he soon heard a strange noise emanating from the back seat, turning around to see more of Bruce than he cared to — no shirt, pants, or undies, with his genitals in hand. The driver asked Wayne to stop, who continued the unscrupulous exhibitionist behavior.

The deputy spoke with Bruce, who admitted that he was ashamed of his behavior. Bruce confessed to getting "a little naked" and said that he was overcome with "a feeling" that led him to do what he did. Hindsight is 20/20, foresight was apparently blind.

The incident led to the arrest of Bruce Wayne Hilton on charges for exposure of his sexual organs. He was transported to the Polk County Jail without incident.
