Florida Senator Makes Potentially Threatening Comment Against Muslim Congresswomen After Endorsement

In a post on X, the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) endorsed Florida Senator Randy Fine “for Congress in Florida’s 6th Congressional district” at 11:06 a.m. on November 26. The organization stated that it is “excited to endorse a proud Jewish Republican, and longtime friend”.

The RJC also called Fine “​​a warrior for his constituents...A fighter for school choice, security funding for places of worship, and an ardent defender of the State of Israel” who “has led the fight and been the loudest voice against the rise of antisemitism in Florida and across the country”.

Just six minutes later, Fine reposted the endorsement and replied, “The ‘Hebrew Hammer’ is coming.   @RashidaTlaib and @IlhanMN might consider leaving before I get there.  #BombsAway”. 

On X, @RashidaTlaib is the official account for Rashida Tlaib, a congresswoman “in Michigan’s 12th Congressional District” and @IlhanMN is the official account for Ilhan Omar, a congresswoman “in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District”. 

Notably, Tlaib “made history in 2008 by becoming the first Muslim woman to ever serve in the Michigan Legislature”. Then, in 2009, Omar became “the first African refugee to become a Member of Congress, the first woman of color to represent Minnesota, and one of the first two Muslim-American women elected to Congress”.

The fact that both congresswomen are Muslim is worth underscoring in this context since Fine brought up the matter of ethnic background with his self-assertion of being the “Hebrew Hammer”.
