Mini Cooking Competition Show Seeks Amateur Miami & Social Media Chefs for a Battle of the Bites

​Are you a passionate social media foodie or a budding amateur home chef looking to test your chops? Company Fourteen52.VO is looking for a crew of cooks to participate in their new mini-cooking competition show set to film in early 2025.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Miami eats, the production listed on Backstage aims to pit amateur home chefs and social media foodies against each other in a battle of culinary creativity. Contestants will compete to transform restaurant leftovers into a variety of delicious staple meals for a chance to hold the title of top amateur chef.

Those looking to compete must be 18 or older, and must submit a headshot photograph and short video reel describing their background in the cooking, foodie, and social media sphere, encompassing why they believe they'd be a good fit for the role. Would-be contestants will also have to answer a short series of pre-screening questions to qualify.

The cooking show is also seeking additional off-screen talent for paid work in camera operation, sound mixing, and grip/lighting crew.
The flat pay rates for all roles offered are as follows:

• Camera Op Staff — $500 to $700 for an estimated 2 days of work
• Sound Mixer — $500 to $700 for an estimated 2 days of work
• Grip/Lighting Crew — $500 to $700 for an estimated 2 days of work
• Cooking Contestants — $150 to $300 for an estimated 16 hours of filming

Filming is set to begin in early January of 2025 in Miami, Florida. Creative director Mariah Dubs will be accepting applications via Backstage's casting call page until January 3, 2025 at 6:59 PM eastern standard time.
