This week, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) joined forces with 11 other law enforcement agencies to conduct a large-scale public safety operation along a 100-mile stretch of US-19. The coordinated effort involved agencies including the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater Police Department, and Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, among others. This operation marked the second successful collaboration aimed at reducing dangerous driving behaviors. The first initiative, held in August, set the stage for these ongoing efforts to tackle issues like speeding, aggressive driving, and driving under the influence.
