Have you seen these men? After a hit-and-run crash on July 14, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is asking the general public for help in identifying the driver and occupants of the vehicle that collided with and overturned another car in Orange County, Florida. The FHP responded to this incident around 11:00 a.m. at mile marker 67 on I-4 westbound. FHP Officials report that “a red 2017 Chevrolet Camaro” was driving down the center lane then tried to change to the inside lane when its “front right side” hit “a white 2016 Hyundai Tucson” on its “left rear side”. The force of the impact caused the driver of the Hyundai to lose control of the vehicle. The Hyundai ran off the road and overturned along the right shoulder on the road. Click here for a video recording of the crash as seen through the dash cam of a witness. Following the collision, three occupants exited the Camaro, ran from the scene on foot, and were picked up by a separate “gray or silver colored vehicle, make and model unknown”. As of July 19, they have yet to be identified, but witnesses describe them as three “black or hispanic males possibly in their early 20s”. The driver of the Hyundai, a 20-year-old female, “was not transported from the scene”. However, the FHP says that this hit-and-run resulted in “serious injuries”. If you have any information regarding the identities of the three suspects or this crash, the FHP encourages you to call *FHP (*347) or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (1-800-423-8477). As a result of this incident, the FHP reminds the general public that it is against the law to leave the scene of a crash that results in death, injury, or property damage.
