The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has solved the case involving the vandalism at the Greenlefe Resort clubhouse in Haines City over Labor Day weekend. The suspects are now facing charges of felony burglary for causing over $1,000 in damage, as well as petit theft for stealing a laptop, Gatorade, and a basketball. The original incident took place on Saturday, August 31, 2024, just before 6:00 p.m. The teens were caught on camera breaking into the Greenlefe Resort clubhouse, which was closed for renovation. The suspects damaged windows, broke through locked doors, and tore a hole in one wall to gain access to different parts of the building, including the closed lobby. Despite their attempts to hide their faces, the teens were clearly captured on video. The damage caused to the facility totaled thousands of dollars. The names of the teens have not been released as of publishing.
