12/11/2024 0 Comments The City of Clearwater Issues a Boil-Water Advisory for the Following CommunitiesThe City of Clearwater, Florida has issued a boil water advisory following a water main break that occurred on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Eldridge Street. The precautionary boil water notice has been issued as of 1:45 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, due to the 6-inch potable water main break located at 1214 Aloha Lane in Clearwater. As of publication, crews have been dispatched to the site to begin repairs. The road is currently expected to reopen on Friday, December 13. Water samples will also be collected and taken to a local lab, with results also expected to be returned on December 13. As of publication, no restaurants were believed to be affected by the water main break. The affected addresses under the boil-water advisory are as follows: Aloha Lane
Coles Road
A rescission notice will be issued to these addresses once samples are reported as clear. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Florida Department of Health will be notified and sent lab report results as soon as they become available. Article by Rachael Volpe
