I was at a sunflower field over the weekend, admittedly not in Florida because I am out of state visiting some friends and family, but it made me think about how many really great sunflower fields are in the Sunshine State -- and there are a lot. Some I've stumbled upon during my travels, others I sought out specifically for an occasion, but no matter how I find them one thing always remains the same: how absolutely breathtaking they are. If you are hoping to get lost in a Florida sunflower field sometime soon, this list will take you to the best options all around the state!
A couple of things to note before you schedule your sunflower photo shoots: Florida's sunflower season typically runs from early to late spring (though some fields may vary and even have two "sunflower seasons" starting in the fall) and if you're highly allergic to bees or other insects you may want to sit this out -- or bring an Epipen -- because flower fields are bees-galore! Many of the fields suggest that you bring your own sunflower shears, and don't forget a vase to keep them in!
