The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has arrested an 18-year-old in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last Friday, a community alert states. According to the alert, the shooting occurred around 9:15 pm on Friday, August 18 in the Laredo Drive area of Bayonet Point. Preliminary information indicated that an adult male was shot following an argument with another adult man, resulting in the death of the shooting victim. Witnesses heard only a single shot during the incident. After continued investigation and a crime stopper request for information from the public, Pasco Sheriff's Office has arrested 18-year-old Tyler Leshner for the homicide. He has been charged with homicide and delinquent possession of a firearm as a result of the incident. Leshner was also previously arrested for a battery on a law enforcement officer, a felony, back in October of 2022, which resulted in an additional charge of delinquent in possession of a firearm.
