5 Reasons why Tampa is a good place for young people to move

When people think of Florida one of their first thoughts may be that it's a good place for retirees and snowbirds, but the truth of the matter is that it's a great spot for the younger generations too! 1. The weather is great

If you are like Goldilocks and you like things to be just right, then Tampa could be the perfect place for you. The weather here is ideal for anyone looking to enjoy the best of what the state has to offer as it's half way between being too cold during the winter like areas farther north and too hot in the summer (or arguably all year-round) in south Florida.

Our average temperature range in Tampa is between 62 degrees in the winter and 82 degrees in the summer, while we experience an average of 246 days of sunshine per year! That gives you plenty of time to enjoy the next point in this list... 

2. There are plenty of things to do

From crystal-clear natural springs and Busch Gardens to themed bars and clubs galore, there's not much holding you back from having a good time any day of the week in and around Tampa no matter your budget or what takes your fancy.

Though, personally what I love most about this area is that it's centrally located to so many of the state's best activities including Disney World and Universal, which is only about a 1 1/2 hour drive away, Weeki Wachee Spring which is about an hour away, and some of the best Gulf Coast beaches are an easy drive south. And let's be honest, there's so much to see in the city alone that you never even have to leave--but if you want to, you won't have a problem finding something to keep you entertained.

Speaking from personal experience most of downtown Tampa (especially around the Riverwalk) is overrun with college-aged kids looking to do the same thing you are: have a budget-friendly good time. If you know where to look, you should have no problem at all finding a few friends your age. 

5. There are plenty of job opportunities 

Obviously you are going to need a little cash from time to time, but don't worry, from local retail shops to specialized degree-only positions and nearly everything in between, there is no shortage of job opportunities in the city--some of which you might not have even known existed before! So don't be afraid to get creative, you never know when a fun off-the-wall position might come up for grabs. Horse racing, anyone?
