There are so many awesome places around Tampa, like seriously, so many. But it seems that I have managed to favor a specific few.
Social media has made it pretty easy for me to zero in on all the trendy spots - new and old - that pop up around my city, but I definitely have a thing for eateries. I do really consider myself a foodie -- but even more so a drinker. No, not that kind of drinker, in fact I hardly ever "drink," but you can often find me sampling the many different types of caffeinated beverages around the Bay. From refreshing rainbow teas to glitter lattes and everything in between, here are my 5 favorite cafes around the Tampa area that I just can't get enough of. Chocolate Pi
What's better than a latte? A glitter latte, of course! Adorably named Chocolate Pi, this (very hidden) cafe in Tampa has all the unicorn vibes that'll put any normal Starbucks drink to shame. Their drinks are fruity, sparkly and pair perfectly with one of their many, many picturesque desserts. Of course, I can't forget to mention the entire aesthetics of this place is fit for royalty. TalkHouseâ
Here's something that doesn't often mix: delicious, healthy AND pretty! TalkHouse (located a little north of Tampa in Trinity) specializes in making healthy food and drinks that taste as good as they look. My personal favorite is the rainbow tea, obviously, and it's even better with an extra scoop of bursting boba. This is definitely the spot I go when I need a pick-me-up that won't make me crash midway through the day.
Bake'n Babes
I would be lying if I said I never had one of these massive milkshakes - and finished it by myself. It was too delicious not to, ok? If you're on the hunt for a unique dessert cafe, Bake'n Babes has everything you need to satisfy the largest of sweet tooths (teeth?).
Poke Falls
I'll give you one guess on what they serve here! Yes, poke, but also some of the best bubble tea I've ever tasted. One thing I love most about this spot is that it's Palm Harbor location is really close to one of the best beaches in Florida: Honeymoon Island. So grab a refreshing bowl and tea, then head off to the sea!
Hellas Restaurant & Bakery
If you love food with a side of atmosphere, you will fall in love with Hellas Restaurant and Bakery in Tarpon Springs. Eloquently decorated with Greek-themed everything, this spot is situated in one of Florida's most historic towns and located only adjacent from the docks. This is the spot to grab a baklava latte, pretend you're in Europe, and watch the dolphins swim by.
There are tons of places around Tampa that I still have yet to explore - so keep an eye out because this list might keep growing!
