4/14/2023 0 Comments A 125,000 square foot, 2-story arcade is officially opening in Tampa next monthAfter delays pushed their originally anticipated 2022 opening, the indoor arcade in Tampa, Elev8 Fun, will officially soft-open in early May, officials say — offering a wide range of play for all ages. The 2-story, 125,000 square-foot arcade will feature a state-of-the-art indoor go-kart track, 12 bowling lanes, axe-throwing, black-light mini golf, and a laser tag arena alongside a lineup of nearly 200 different arcade games that include everything from vintage to modern virtual reality video-game titles, and more. The ropes course will serve as a bit of a pseudo-landmark within its mall location's common area. In addition to all of the arcade offerings, the Tampa iteration will also have a full-service restaurant and two full-service bars, as well as an outdoor beer garden. “We have so many different games and a lot of room to play with,” David Goldfarb, owner of Elev8 Fun, told RePlay Magazine. “It really is something that the whole family can use. Not everyone wants to do go-karts. We have a very broad demographic. Families [have] been a very big mix for us, as well as couples.” The new location will take over the old Sears at the Citrus Park Town Center Mall at 8021 Citrus Park Town as the company's second location. The first location can be found in Sanford, an Orlando suburb, opening its doors at the Seminole Towne Center Mall on December 21, 2021. “We are very happy with our first Sanford location, but our second time around we’ve become a lot more efficient and effective in our development..." exclaimed Goldfarb. "This mall is also such a uniquely built and operated mall that all parties involved will be happy with the results, and most importantly, our customers. We can’t wait.” A third location also hangs on the horizon for Jensen Beach's Treasure Coast Mall, mimicking the same attractions. As of publication, no further information about the Jensen location has been released. While the company's not made an official announcement for the exact date of opening in May for Tampa, they have announced that they're hiring on their social media platforms — which makes this inching opening feel even closer than it already is.
