Whether you're looking for a reason to cheat on your diet, simply love sweets, or need something fun to do with your friends this summer, the Tampa Bay Ice Cream Festival in St. Pete next month may just be worth checking out — and they couldn't have chosen a more fitting day than National Ice Cream Day. Over 25 vendors serving ice creams and other frozen desserts will take over the St. Pete Pier's Pier Plaza on July 16, 2023. Frozen delights will be slung rain or shine between 11 am and 8 pm. Maybe the best part? It's free to attend; any money you decide to spend will be on all the sweets you decide to eat. As of publication, 11 vendors have been confirmed for the lineup, including Bay Area favorites Astro Craft Ice Cream, Uncle Louie G, and Frio's Pops. The full list of confirmed vendors so far, as listed by the official event website, can be seen below:
Due to the nature of the event, event organizers recommend using rideshare services to fest responsibly. However, if you do decide to drive, on-site parking on the St. Pete Pier is available for $2.50 per hour for up to 6 hours. If you're planning to mainline the fest from open to close, check out everything the pier has to offer, or if on-site parking is full, longer-duration parking is available at the Sundial Garage just 2 blocks away from the pier's entrance. Are you screaming for ice cream or letting this one melt? Let us know in the comments!
