A new singles event is coming to Tampa and it's a dog lover's dream come true

Love doesn't have to bite, well, not according to a new Tampa dating event brought to you by one of our partners, Singles Walk Dogs. 

The Sunburnt Blogger's founder, Cassie Leigh, and the founder of SinglesWalkDogs.com, Matthew Castriotta, are teaming up to kick off a fun way to meet locals in the area through periodical events in the Greater Tampa Bay region. 

"After communicating with lots of women in the Tampa Bay Area and being vulnerable with them, I realized that there are two things that every women I was attracted to appreciated very much -- unconditional love and acceptance. I also noticed that singles that had dogs were, in general, more at peace and displayed affection for their animals and others they interacted with in a way that reminded me a lot of those two concepts." Castriotta said. "So, I thought --why not try to put something together that would create a community that I would want to be a part of."

Thus the idea for Singles Walk Dogs was born.

"I had some friends put the logo together and screen print some shirts after some direction, and I wore the shirts to different scenes. What I found was that women loved the idea and were very encouraging of the mission. It was a hit! So, I decided to continue to pursue and give something back while I'm single to help others long after I find my forever person."

Being a dog person myself, I absolutely fell in love with the idea --every pun intended-- and thought it would be a great way to get like-minded individuals and their pups together for a good time. Dogs are a great way to break the ice (think of how many times people approach you about how cute your dog is in public) and I mean, let's be honest, you can't love someone if your dog doesn't, right?

The best part about it all is that you don't even have to be looking for love. If you're new to the area or just looking for some new friends with dogs to hang out with, this will be a great opportunity to network with people who share a very important common interest.
