Florida police continue to investigate a death that they've deemed suspicious following preliminary discoveries. The Pasco Sheriff's Office (PSO) has taken to social media, seeking information from the public potentially in the know, with the opportunity for a cash reward also on the line. "Pasco Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a suspicious death in the Westcott Dr. area of Port Richey. The case began as a death investigation, however through continued investigation, the circumstances of the death became suspicious." the Facebook post reads, in part. PSO was alerted to the deceased adult male inside the Wescott Drive home just before 7 am on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Through their investigative efforts, detectives have determined that there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to public safety at this time, the post states. The post continues on to direct anyone with information regarding this case to contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477); however, those hoping to submit an anonymous tip can also do so online at www.crimestopperstb.com. According to the Crime Stoppers website, anonymous tipsters who contact Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay and give information, that law enforcement confirms led directly to the arrest of an adult or juvenile in an unsolved crime or the arrest of a wanted fugitive, will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000. You must contact Crime Stoppers to be eligible for a reward; however, those with information may also contact PSO directly through their online tip reporting page at Pascosheriff.com/tips, or by calling the PSO Crime Tips Line at 1-800-706-2488, referring to case number 23023774.
