It's that time of the year again--bikini model dog washes are back and one lucky local humane society will be rewarded with a check over $250 as a result of the first event of the season that took place yesterday at the Gulfport Brewery + Eatery in Gulfport. "Together we raised over $250 for Humane Society of Tampa Bay," said Tailor Sallee, the event organizer, in her most recent Instagram post. The event featured several volunteers donning Tailor Sallee bikinis and washing dogs for a very discounted price of only $10. Sallee noted that the turnout was good with over 20+ dogs bathed. According to Sallee, who owns an upcycled fashion line for pets and their people based in Gulfport, a portion of the proceeds will go to a local humane society. "Fundraising for humane society is special to me because I have an adopted 10-year-old Pomeranian that shares unconditional love I wish everyone could feel for themselves," Sallee told Uncovering Florida, who's editor-in-chief, Cassie Leigh, was a volunteer in attendance at the event yesterday, in an exclusive interview. "We had so much fun getting to meet everyone's pups and raising money for the humane society," said Leigh on her Instagram story. If you missed the event, not to worry! The next one is already scheduled for May 28--with many more to come throughout the summer months. The details surrounding the future locations have yet to be released, but will be published by Neon Dreams Production as soon as those specifics are finalized.
