An adults-only Spongebob rave Is coming to Orlando in May

Consider yourself the goofiest of goobers? A Spongebob-themed rave coming to an old theater in Orlando, Florida next month may just be worth breaking out your Sandy Cheeks cosplay for.

The 18+-only Jellyfish Jam event is set to take over The Plaza Live on Saturday, May 13, with DJs 2pull, Nezz, and RebelTony spinning a variety of rave jams and nautical nonsense. Signature-themed drinks will also be available for the legal sponges in attendance.

While food will not be served, there are dozens of fast-food and casual dining options within a mile of the venue, as well as several nearby hotels if you're needing to travel to attend.

Organizers encourage ravers to show up in their best Spongebob and undersea-themed rave gear to compete in a costume contest for the title of best in show.

Tickets to the event are on sale now, with Goofy Goober General Gloor admission going for only $35 per person. Though ticket upgrades are also available, offering a variety of extras such as a commemorative event ticket, signature drinks, early entry, balcony seating, or VIP seating for groups of 8.

Balcony Seating tickets are sitting at $45; the Supreme General Admission ticket going for $65 comes with early entry and 1 signature drink, as well as the commemorative ticket. But if you have 7 friends you think would want to go down under at this rave with you, the VIP group package may offer the best value and experience.

While $1,300 for a group of 8, it includes VIP section seating for you and your 7 friends, as well as 2 bottles with mixers, a dedicated bartender, your commemorative event tickets, VIP credentials, and early entry to the venue. Splitting the cost, that'd be approximately $162.50 each before taxes or fees.

Going to the Jellyfish Jam? The venue's doors will open at 7 pm, and you can start shaking your bikini bottom at 8 when the show gets started.
