The Humane Society of Broward County are pleading with the public to help find their kennel stressed pup, Bubbles, a home.
"SOS!! BUBBLES IS NOT OKAY!" the Instagram post from HumaneBroward reads, in part. "She is experiencing severe kennel stress. She spins out of control until she collapses...She needs out of our shelter immediately."
The kennel stress isn't the only thing this poor pup has endured; when Bubbles came to the shelter in May of 2023, she was a very pregnant stray. She gave birth at the shelter, and all of her puppies were quickly adopted. Sadly, not Bubbles.
While the poor pup did end up getting adopted for a day, Bubbles was returned due to not getting along with other dogs. Since then, Bubbles' stress has resulted in multiple UTIs and respiratory infections. While anxious, Humane Broward staff say she refuses to leave her kennel, even with the door wide open.
"This beautiful girl has been through so much, and now her mental health is going downhill rapidly." Humane Broward writes. "Please, there must be someone that can foster or adopt Bubbles...Bubbles' friends at @jrdunnjewelers have kindly paid her adoption fee."
The Instagram post is accompanied by a short video, the sign stuck in Bubbles' kennel detailing everything she's been through in her time at the shelter.
Those interested in adopting Bubbles are encouraged to visit the shelter's website at www.humanebroward.com. The shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and opens daily at 11 a.m. Those with more questions about Bubbles can call 954-989-3977 using extension 6.
