While some people may shudder at the thought of going to a crowded theme park during a pandemic, for others it's a welcoming sight of some normalcy being restored to their life. However, no matter which side of this coin you are on, the fact of the matter is that Disney World Orlando is still up and running, and they're even offering Florida residents a daily ticket deal to die for.
Yes it's true, the Discover Disney deal is back and according to Disney's official park blog, those with proof of their Florida residency can "enjoy 4 days of theme park fun for $50 per day, plus tax." The tickets are valid for one full day at the park, per ticket, and can be used on both consecutive and non-consecutive days. Tickets must be used before June 18 and are subject to blackout dates. For the state residents out there who think 4 days at the park is too much, there are additional deals including a 2-day ticket package for $75/day + tax, a 3-day for $60/day + tax.
Disney, along with the many other major theme parks in Orlando, has implemented an array of additional health and safety regulations to keep their parks safe during the pandemic, even going as far as limiting attendance, checking temperatures, and requiring visitors to wear face masks.
So far, according to this report in October, the park has managed to remain COVID-19 outbreak-free, but have not said how many employees have individually tested positive for the virus. Besides the announcement of the Discover Disney deal, they have also recently released information on their updated plans and new rides coming in 2021. That list can be viewed here.
