A Duval County man is facing charges for the illegal possession of an alligator out of season, as reported in an official press release by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). According to the release, the incident came to light when Officer Specialists Culbreth and Waldo received a complaint from an individual's spouse, who alleged that her husband and friends had taken an alligator out of season, lacking the necessary tags and permits. The concerned complainant provided crucial evidence in the form of photographs showing her husband and his friends cleaning the alligator as proof. Responding promptly to the complaint, officers arrived at the scene and confronted multiple individuals believed to be involved in the incident. Responding officers were able to secure confessions from those present and seize the alligator in question. As a result of their actions, the individuals involved now face charges related to the illegal possession of an alligator out of season, a violation of wildlife regulations in the state of Florida. Details regarding names and exact locations were not released in the FWC report.
