While many may find themselves enamored by the sight of Florida wildlife, others may not be so kind as to simply observe them in their natural habitats. Some may take a more violent approach, such as one Florida Man who was said to have purposely run over a group of wild turkeys in Lake County, a release from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) states. According to the release, Officer Stamp received reports that subjects intentionally ran over a group of wild turkeys with their vehicle. Using the provided information, the officer was able to track down the involved vehicle at a residence. Upon conducting an interview, the subject admitted a wild turkey was run over and that they were in possession of it. Officer Stamp was able to locate a deceased wild turkey in the bed of a pickup truck on-site, which showed signs consistent with being run over by a vehicle. The subject was issued a notice to appear citation for possession of the wild turkey during a closed season. In other law enforcement news, a felon was arrested after getting caught harvesting saw palmetto berries in Florida. Read more on that here. Article by Rachael Volpe
