*Uncovering Florida is in no way affiliated with King's Landing or The Haunting on Emerald Cut event and receives no revenue from reader or visitor purchases.* It's fall y'all, which means all the spooky season events are finding their way to the Sunshine State. One such event this month is taking a popular Florida spring run and transforming it into a haunting Halloween wonderland you can paddle through. Known as The Haunting on Emerald Cut, this guided paddle launch will last approximately two hours from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on select dates in October. You will launch from King's Landing and paddle upstream for just under a mile. Once the group reaches the top, you'll begin your float through the haunted Emerald Cut, where spook zones with costumed actors, string lights, and other spooky surprises await you around every corner. Once the float is finished, you can also stick around for a floating bonfire. It's recommended that you have some experience with kayaking and are willing to be scared, as you'll be paddling at dusk. Event organizers also encourage paddlers to dress up; the best dressed will receive a free 4-hour kayak rental for two. How much are tickets? If you bring your own kayak, tickets are only $36.21 per person. If you have to rent a vessel, prices jump up to $73.48 each. Ready to float the haunted emerald cut?
