Many gamers have been on the edge of their seats waiting for details to emerge about the new Grand Theft Auto 6, and while Rockstar has remained pretty quiet since the original material leak in 2022, a Florida-centric concept map that has been making its rounds on internet forums again has some fans speculating--and hoping--that there is a glimmer of truth behind the posts. "Leaked GTA 6 map looks awful familiar," a Reddit user wrote with their post of the alleged map in question on the r/Tampa subreddit today. The concept map, complete with coastal areas named "Coco Beach" and "Vice Point", do appear to bear a striking resemblance to areas along the eastern coastline of Florida--but don't get too excited just yet. "This keeps blowing up like wild fire. This map hasn’t been confirmed at all. Only thing leaked were those videos that were in development. This is not confirmed," another Reddit user noted on today's post. And that user is right. Rockstar has not confirmed any maps for the new game to date. Furthermore, though the map is regaining popularity after being reposted by several GTA-inspired groups, the fan-created concept art appears to have actually been shared as far back as 2021 by Redditor, u/avatarsd. U/avatarsd claims to be the original artist of the map stating that they had created the artwork with Florida as part of the inspiration. "Grand Theft Auto VI: Vice City Map Idea. State of Floreada!", they titled their post on Reddit in 2021. "This is the State of Floreada (Florida) but I would love to see Cuba and the Bahamas in the real game as well," they noted in part later in the comment section. So, unfortunately for many, this map is likely nothing more than that: a concept. However, there are other rumors circulating that Rockstar Games will have new information to share with fans soon--so stay tuned!
