Free EcoFest to return to Florida for 2nd year

A free event in Cocoa, Florida focused on celebrating environmental education awareness research, support, and non-profit efforts is making a return to The Sunshine State for a second year in 2024.

The 2nd Annual EEARSS to the Environment EcoFest will feature a variety of informational eco-presentations alongside vendors slinging eats and craft goods throughout the day.

You can also enjoy fun games and activities from Infinite Mushroom and others all day, live musical entertainment in the evening, opportunities to meet with wildlife, and more.

The presentation schedule so far is as follows:

• 9 am - 9:50 am — Duane De Freese (One Lagoon)
• 10 am - 10:50 am — Laura LaBeur (SJWMD)
• 11 am - 11:50 am — Jessica Pate (Florida Manta Project, Marine Mega Fauna Foundation)
• 12 - 12:50 pm — Sea Turtle Preservation Society
• 1 pm - 1:50 pm — Bob Sluka (A Rocha Marine, arocha.org)
• 2 pm - 2:50 pm — Tracy Frampton (Florida Wildlife Hospital)
• 3 pm - 3:50 pm — Zach Marchetti (Brevard Zoo)
• 5 pm - 11 pm — live music, vendors, silent auctions, and more
