*Uncovering Florida is in no way affiliated with the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens and receives no revenue from reader or visitor purchases* The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will soon transform at night with a themed glowing Asian lantern walk. According to the zoo's website, the theme, Into the Wild, will celebrate the art, beauty, and wonder of traditional Asian lantern festivals and wildlife with a nearly mile-long trail of hand-crafted lantern displays illuminated by thousands of LED lights. Event organizers say the experience will feature 30 larger-than-life displays of illuminated sculptures depicting animals, plants, and other traditional Chinese elements. In addition to the trail of LED-lit lanterns, festival attendees can also find local food and beverage options, live music, and artisan crafts available for purchase. How much are tickets? General admission is $20 per person age 3 or older; children 2 and under are admitted free. Also available is a 4-pack ticket bundle for $61, offering up to 20% savings on group entry. Tickets can only be booked online for select dates from November 17, 2023, through January 14, 2024. Each will require a selected entry time of your choice: 6 pm, 7 pm, or 8 pm. The event, presented by Publix, was created in partnership with Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc., an international design and manufacturing company headquartered in Zigong, Sichuan, China.
