It's official: Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is finally reopening (VIDEO)

After nearly a year of closures, updates, and anticipation, finally we can say that Florida's famed Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is reopening, and tomorrow is the big day! 

Despite the ongoing pandemic, the previous year was spent making much-needed renovations at the park --and they're opening not a moment too soon. It's a toasty 83-degree day in Tampa today! 

The announcement was made earlier today via their official Instagram page (posted in full below).

Due to the renovations, some things will be different, but you can still look forward to many of the park's most notable highlights, including:

• Mermaid shows
• Buccaneer Bay waterpark + beach
• Ranger shows
• Food/drinks

The boat cruise will, however, still be suspended until further notice.

The park and all activities will limit capacity and implement social distancing. 

Entrance fees are $13 for adults and $8 for children 6-12; children under 6 get in for free. 

Sunburnt Blogger pro tip: there are lockers on site (that you have to pay extra for) so if you do happen to bring something you don't want to get wet or leave at your chair, you can just rent one. Additionally, the water here is 72 degrees year-round, so plan to go swimming on a warm day!
