Looking for things to do in Florida on the cheap and happen to be a veteran? The Kennedy Space Center will offer veterans and their families reduced and free admission as a part of their Armed Forces Week starting next Monday.

"Armed Forces Week is to honor all who currently serve and all who have served the U.S. Armed Forces in the reserves, National Guard, or on active duty." the event posting reads, in part.

All service men and women with one of the 3 forms of approved military identification or DD214 documentation will be able to enter the space center completely free of charge between Monday, May 15, and Sunday, May 21. Up to 4 guests accompanying a valid veteran will also receive 50% off general admission during the week-long offering.

So how do veterans cash in on their free admission?

All they have to do is verify their status in person at Will Call or Information during the promotional period by providing an active duty military ID, retired military ID, a valid driver's license with veteran classification, or DD214 documentation.

With so much to explore at the Kennedy Space Center, including Mission Zones, Attractions, Science, History, Rocket Launch Viewing, and more, Armed Forces Week may just be the perfect excuse for you and your family to enjoy a day exploring everything space without breaking the bank.

Armed Forces Week at Kennedy Space Center
