Key West Mermaid Festival is officially announced for 2023

​Get ready to dive into a world of water-based enchantment as the highly anticipated fourth annual Key West Mermaid Festival has officially announced their 2023 dates.

According to the event website, starting on July 1 and running to July 4, 2023, you can officially once again splash into their many mermaid-and-man family-friendly events.

"With activities for the little mermaids and adult mermaids at heart, the Key West Mermaid Festival is an entire island family friendly event welcoming Florida Keys locals and visitors from across all of our oceans," the event website states in part.
The Mermaid Festival is set to transform several locations within the Keys into a vibrant underwater wonderland, offering visitors an experience filled with whimsical entertainment, captivating performances and a myriad of mermaid-themed activities.

As stated on the event's site, while activities are still being announced, currently, the festival's lineup of activities include mermaid meet-and-greets, a 4th of July Beach Party, sailing with mermaids, fireworks, vendors, performances and more. Ariel and Prince Eric are also slated to make an appearance!

The event, which reportedly has teamed up Reef Relief, a local nonprofit that helps bring awareness to preserving the world's oceans, is still releasing information regarding the upcoming festival.
