'Largest hot sauce & taco festival in Florida' will return for 23rd consecutive year with FREE admission

Feeling hot hot hot? Simply like to feel the burn of your favorite sauce? Then you definitely won't want to miss out on the return of Florida's largest hot sauce fest, the I Like it HOT! Hot Sauce Festival, this fall — and this time with free admission.

The two-day fiery hot festivities will take over the Largo Event Center on 126th Avenue in September, featuring a lineup of vendors slinging their signature sauces for you to try, as well as a myriad of delicious tacos deserving of a dab. But if sauces aren't your thing, fresh hot pepper plants will be ready for eating as well.

Alongside some seriously spicy vendors and live entertainment, you can also participate in a series of contests. While what all visitors can expect of the 2023 iteration of I Like it HOT! has yet to be announced, if it's anything like previous years you can expect to see contests such as:

• Hot Pepper Eating Contests
• Amateur Hot Sauce, BBQ, and Salsa Competitions,
• Hot Hula Hoop Contests
• The Extreme Lolly-Lick-A-Thon
• Frozen T-Shirt Contest
• Favorite Vendor and Concoction Competitions

Previous iterations of the fest have required a $5 admission fee, however, this year's festivities will be free to attend, with parking offered free as well. Any cash you decide to spend will be on stuffing your face or snagging sauces to take home.

23rd Annual I Like It HOT! Festival
When: Saturday, September 9 from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, September 10 from 11 am to 4 pm.
Where: Largo Event Center — 6340 126th Ave. Largo, FL 33773
How Much: Free parking and admission; any cash you decide to spend will be on vendors and experiences within the festival.
