The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) announced this morning the successful apprehension of 40-year-old Vladimir Lauzardo following a series of criminal activities within the county. According to information made public by the Sheriff's Office, on March 15, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle, leading to the discovery of Lauzardo found asleep inside a stolen white Ford F-450. The vehicle, equipped with a counterfeit license plate and a modified bed evidently intended for fuel theft, was identified as part of a string of crimes in the community. Further investigation revealed a connection between the stolen truck and a reported theft of a trailer belonging to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 315. In addition to the vehicular thefts, Lauzardo confessed to his involvement in a burglary at a local business situated on Memorial Hwy. Lauzardo is being charged with grand theft, stolen propery, criminal mischief, burglary, driving without a valid license, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating an unregistered vehicle.
