On Saturday, May 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., you can eat your fill at the Manatee Annual Taco Fest. According to an official release, more than 150 of the “best taco producers” in the tri-state area will be in attendance. This festival considers itself to be “the most anticipated taco festival of the year”. It advertises an action-packed day with an array of different tacos and local cuisines, margaritas, beers, desserts, music, bounce houses, eating contests, games, and other family-friendly fun. At previous Manatee Annual Taco Fests, some additional attractions have included pony rides, rock climbing, the Toro Inferno (a mechanical bull ride), fresh cotton candy, and more. Check out this video showcasing what the experience has been like at this festival in past years. General Admission, which includes access to all of the live entertainment and to the Manatee County Fairgrounds where the event is being hosted, costs $10, skip-the-line admission is $15, veterans enter for free, kids under 10 years of age enter for free, and parking is free. Tickets can be bought online here. All vendor sales are handled as separate direct cash purchases. The Manatee Annual Taco Fest states that the festival will go on “rain or shine” and recommends that you come hungry. Article by Ema Tibbetts
