*Uncovering Florida is in no way affiliated with the Dali Museum.* Following months of teasing online and a delay as a result of a storm surge, the Dali Alive 360° exhibit at the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg officially opened on August 3, 2023. Taking over a freshly built museum space dubbed The Dali Dome, the new experience invites visitors to step into the mesmerizing world of Salvador Dali as his art comes to life like never before. The multi-sensory experience is said to envelop visitors in 360 degrees of light and sound, including Dali's surreal landscapes, iconic melting clocks, and other mind-bending illusions from the artist's time spent in Spain, Paris, and America. According to the Dali Museum's website, the dynamic animations of Dali's works featured in Dali Alive 360° illuminate the challenges and triumphs of his artistic career, while also providing visitors with the sensation of stepping into Dali's life and each era of his reinvention. Dalí Alive was co-produced by the Museum and Grande Experiences — the creator of other exhibits, such as Van Gogh Alive. Grande Experiences is a world leader in the creation and display of multisensory, immersive experiences. Dalí Alive 360° was customized with imagery created specifically for the 360-degree environment of The Dalí’ Dome by Omnispace360, the creator of immersive environments as seen at Austin City Limits and six Super Bowls. The Dali Dome is an optional experience available to visitors of the St. Pete Dali Museum, with tickets running for $15 per person in addition to gallery admission. Your ticket must be booked into one of approximately 10 available showtimes daily, though capacity is limited. Those hoping to book a ticket can do so here. Article by Rachael Volpe
