One Month Left: You can go on a life-sized dinosaur safari at a Florida Aquarium right now

If you happen to have a raptor fanatic for a kid, a special experience at one of the aquariums in Florida needs to be added to your calendar before it ends next month. The Dino Rescue Safari Experience opened in October of 2022 at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium with a run date through April 15, 2023.

Included in the cost of admission to the aquarium, The special exhibit brings aquarium-goers up-close and personal with life-size dinosaurs, with some towering as tall as 35 feet and stretching a whopping 65 feet in length.

When they unveiled the event in 2022, the aquarium even staged a rescue of a Mosasaur to really excite and educate kiddos about ocean conservation. Their largest "rescue mission" ever, the experience aims to educate aquarium-goers and children on habitat loss, entanglement, animal rescue and rehabilitation.

"Rescued dinosaurs are being found and need help to survive different threats," the event page on the Clearwater Marine Aquarium's website reads, in part. "Luckily, the rescue team at Clearwater Marine Aquarium is ready and adapting to take care of these prehistoric creatures and provide the same care we offer all of our rescued animals."

As you walk throughout the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, you'll encounter their dinosaur patients Mosely the Mosasaur, Sarah the Triceratops, Al the mega-alligator looking Sarcosuchus, Lizzie, Gus, Lee, and many more species scattered around the facility.

As you approach each one, they'll move and roar in your face, creating an immersive experience that's fun for for everyone in the family. There's even a dino-patient page on the aquarium's website, sharing the rescue story for each dinosaur, as well as adding in educational facts surrounding the risks that each dino-pal would face alongside similar animals that currently exist as a part of Florida's diverse ecosystems.

Those hoping to take the family on a dino-safari will want to visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, located at 249 Windward Passage, between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm, daily. However, extended hours between the 1st and 15th of April will apply, with the aquarium staying open until 8 pm to accommodate their Spring Shellebration event.

Admission to the aquarium varies in price depending on the date and time you go. A Spring Special Vacation Admission ticket is currently available, offering 7 consecutive days of visits to the aquarium for $35.95 per adult — the cost of a single-day. Children's tickets drop in price, with seniors getting a few bucks off, and children under two admitted free of charge.
