One Weekend Left: Thomas the Tank Engine Train Adventures transforms a Florida Museum into a colorfully fun kid's haven

Looking for something to do with your kids this weekend? A fun event for families with train-obsessed littles makes a return to central Florida for it's final weekend in 2023. Dubbed 'Day Out with Thomas', Thomas the Train & Friends will transform the Florida Railroad Museum into a colorful train ride adventure this Saturday and Sunday.

"All aboard an interactive train ride with Thomas to earn your Color Badge, say Hello to Sir Topham Hatt, and get creative exploring the Color Corner." the event's official website reads, in part. Organizers continue, breaking down what else the family can expect during their day out with Thomas.

The Interactive Color Celebration Train Rides with Thomas will vary in length, lasting between 20 and 45 minutes each. But there's so much at this event that will ensure a day full of family fun, including bounce houses, drawing stations, balloons, bubble wands, and more.

Hoping to head home with a cute family photo for that last frame you haven't been able to fill? There will be eye-catching photo ops scattered throughout the museum to memorialize your day out. Needing a break and looking for a way to tire out the kids? Have them run around and play a variety of lawn games at the Play Pod. Day Out with Thomas will also feature live entertainment, as well as an exclusive pop-up gift shop, and other fun surprises.

Tickets are still available for both Saturday, March 18, and Sunday, March 19 for multiple time-slots. Prices appear to fluctuate depending on which day and admission time you select; according to the event website, tickets can go for as low as $16, and run upwards to $23 each, with proceeds from purchases going to support preservation efforts of Great Historical Railroads across the country. Any newborns that haven't celebrated their first birthday yet are admitted free of charge.
