Should you move to Florida? This real estate agent offers some personal insight

As most of you probably already know, I'm a huge advocate of the Florida lifestyle and I couldn't be happier with my decision to move here --but admittedly, it took some convincing before I commited. If you are in the same boat and the question "should I move to Florida" often pops into your head, maybe a real estate agent is just what you need to help you decide.

The Sunburnt Blogger sat down with realtor, Jessica Samayoa, 38, of Palm Beach Gardens, to get her opinion on why she thinks moving to the Sunshine State is a good choice. 

"Let's start with summer all year round, outrageously beautiful beaches, Florida has more affordable property than many other states, NO state income tax, there's plenty of cultural diversity and my favorite is the feeling of  'you can vacation where you live,'" she told us. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!"

Samayoa has been living in the state for over two decades and working as a Palm Beach realtor for four years. She says that the current market for Florida properties is hotter than she's ever seen before (and we're totally not surprised).

"[The craziest thing I've seen on the job is] how HOT the market is at this moment in time, having to fight multiple offers and winning!"

Not to mention, all of the new attractions and falling mortgage interest rates are definitely among some of the leading factors attracting buyers to the area.

According to NerdWallet, interest rates are as low as 3.057% APR on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage, and even lower for 15-year at 2.477% APR. That's lower than it has been in several recent years!

NerdWallet also confirms that the average cost of property in Florida is cheaper than the national average.
