The hit 2000s film, Shrek, has become somewhat of a cultural icon in recent years. Another uniquely unexpected take on the film falls between a swamp full of memes and Shrek-themed raves — a Shrek Burlesque Parody Show coming to Florida this fall.

Show organizers, Speakeasy Sirens, invite would-be adults-only showgoers to join them for a night at Swampily Ever After - A Shrekxual Burlesque Parody. Swampily Ever After aims to bring the enchanting world of Shrek to life in a sassy and seductive way, combining comedy and the beloved characters of the series with the allure of the art of burlesque.

According to the Eventbrite posting, the approximately 3-hour story follows Prince Charming as he works hand in hand with his dear mummy to go back in time and right his wrongs to win the heart of the fiery princess trapped in the dragon-guarded 'fun dungeon.' Meanwhile, a fierce ogre and his donkey sidekick will take on the task of saving the same princess under contract with a terrifying short king.

Who will get to the princess first? Will they be able to win her heart? But most importantly: Who is Kyle?

Those hoping to catch this artistic and comedic take on the film will want to mark their calendars for Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 8 pm. It will take the stage at the ME Theater, located at 1300 La Quinta Drive #3 in Orlando. Tickets are going for $25 each.
