Suspect involved in Skyway Pier murder thought to be hiding in Plant City

​A recent post by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office states they are actively seeking information from the public regarding the whereabouts of Alex Martinez, wanted for felony murder with a firearm. Martinez is the prime suspect in the shooting incident that resulted in the death of 26-year-old Diomicio Primitivo Ibarra-Hernandez on October 14, 2022, at the Sunshine Skyway South Fishing Pier. The incident occurred during a drug deal.

Martinez is believed to be evading law enforcement and hiding in Hillsborough County, particularly in the Plant City area.

In an effort to bring Martinez to justice, the Gold Star Club of Manatee County is offering a reward of $5,000 for any information that leads to his arrest. The Manatee County Sheriff's Office urges individuals with relevant information to come forward and assist in resolving this case.
