*Uncovering Florida is in no way affiliated with Arcade Monsters.* There's nothing quite like sipping on a boozy beverage while mashing buttons at your favorite arcade table, and soon residents and visitors of Orlando will be able to do just that at the newest Arcade Monsters Bar coming to I-Drive. In an interview with the President of Arcade Monsters, Emily McLaughlin, Uncovering Florida has learned more about what you can expect when you stop by the new location. According to McLaughlin, opening in Orlando has been a longtime goal of the company. They've found that Orlando has been one of their most requested areas from followers, and is their most traveled zip code when visitors check out their location in Oviedo, with many traveling from the Disney and Universal area. "We have become a bit of a tourist destination, and international drive is naturally a perfect fit," said McLaughlin, "The vibe will be the same atmosphere we create in all locations, however, IDrive takes it to the extreme!" And to the extreme, it sounds like they'll go. At 15,000 square feet, McLaughlin says the IDrive location may just be the largest arcade bar in the United States as well as their largest location to date, featuring bigger artwork, more games, secret rooms, two patios, a live music area, a kitchen, a bar, and more. On the 2nd story, patrons will also find a secret speakeasy for escaping the lights and sounds of the arcade floor. "The location on International Drive will be the largest Arcade Monsters location and definitely one of, if not the largest, arcade bar in the United States. It being our 5th location is surreal," said McLaughlin. "To come this far in a short amount of time is a true testament to not only our team of hardworking individuals but to Monster Nation, our guests, and the people who encourage us to open the doors every day. They are the reason why we keep pushing." With all that extra space, the Arcade Monsters President believes the location on IDrive will overtake the popularity of their spot in Oviedo, as they plan to host more events, live musical artists, and performers throughout the year as well. While an address and opening date have yet to be announced, McLaughlin says that the location will be directly on IDrive with their hours anticipated to be 11 am to 2 am. They hope to open their doors in the 3rd quarter of 2023. For now, we'll just have to keep an eye on social media for that announcement. To date, Arcade Monsters has 4 locations: Oviedo, Melbourne, Lake Mary, and Lido Beach. While IDrive is set to be their 5th, McLaughlin stated that many ask for a location in St. Pete daily and that they've been looking into potential spaces to pop into the city. The all-ages arcade bar is the perfect place for families and children to celebrate as well, from birthday parties to field trips. McLaughlin encourages corporate team buildings, parties, fundraisers, and special event venue seekers to consider Arcade Monsters for their next get-togethers. Can't wait for the IDrive location? Consider visiting one of Arcade Monsters' existing locations in the meantime. Pay a single price for a wristband and enjoy unlimited play on all games while enjoying one-of-a-kind artwork, photo op spots, and authentic Cuban street food all under one roof.
