There's a post-apocalyptic bar in Orlando & it's so appropriate for 2020

While we have made it through 2012, the new Millenium, and every other end-of-the-world prediction so far --the reality is, most would agree that 2020 has been quite an unusual year, and it has left a lot of people feeling like they're living through the end of humanity as we know it. 

Yep. All those days we spent laughing at Doomsday Preppers  just don't seem so funny now.

Envious of their preparedness as we may be, most of us are too poor to afford our own bunkers, so we will have to just settle to live out this reality at a wasteland-themed spot in Orlando instead.

Hidden inside of the Gods & Monsters comic shop in Orlando is a Fallout-themed gamer bar that'll transport you straight into an apocalyptic bunker paradise --with booze. 

Appropriately named Vault 5421, this secret spot has everything a gamer (and armageddon-survivor) can appreciate. From the decor to the consoles, and even the staff dressed in cosplay, this bar has what you need to escape reality for a while. One or two of their Nuka Cola's might just be enough to do the trick, but don't skip out on playing a round of Frogger -- you know, for good old times' sake. 

The attention to detail in every aspect of the bar's theme is so fitting for all your end-of-humanity feels, and if you're a fan of Fallout then you'll really love the aesthetics. 

If you're planning an outing, you will be pleased to know Vault 5421 is currently open during certain days of the week. According to the bar manager Joshua, hours have been limited to Friday/Saturday from 5pm-12am.

"We're still limiting capacity and requiring masks to provide a safer environment for our patrons. Otherwise, groups can rent out the bar for a low booking fee and a prepaid bar tab." More info can be found on their Facebook page. 

There is also an escape room that is hosted by the bar, however, it's temporarily suspended. "Currently the Escape Room Experience is suspended because of the level of interaction amongst the host and guests."

There is no word yet as to when the escape room will make a comeback.
