Whether you are looking to adopt or simply yearn for lap cuddles while sipping your favorite caffeinated beverage, a trip to Florida's wildly popular cat café and lounge may be in order. Located in the heart of Tallahassee lies Tally Cat Cafe, a business that captivates the hearts of animal enthusiasts while also offering a temporary home (and lots of love) to local homeless kitties. "The Cat Lounge, furnished for playing and cuddles, is a space provided free to Leon County Humane Society to serve as a foster home for their cats. All of the cats in the Cat Lounge are spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped," the cafe's website states--and yes, most of the cats are adoptable! Although not a newcomer to the scene, Tally Cat Cafe remains a go-to spot for those seeking a unique experience surrounded by whiskered companions while duly serving as an opportunity to place cats in their fur-ever homes. "Tally Cat Cafe is a fun place to spend an hour of your day and play with a lot of cats," one Google user wrote in part in their 5-star review of the business. The café is open daily from 12p.m.-8p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10a.m.-10p.m. Friday and Saturday. Sunday the business is open from 10a.m.-8p.m. Do note, the café is separate from the cat lounge with a wall-to-wall viewing glass for those who would like to enjoy the cats from afar. Because the lounge is separate from the café, reservations are recommended as walk-ins are on based on availability. It costs $12/hour to enter the lounge and all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. You can find more information about the café, their adoption process and how to make reservations to the lounge through their official website here.
