5/17/2023 0 Comments Unique dessert shop in Florida serves up nitrogen ice cream & booze-infused treats in 'lightbulbs'*Uncovering Florida is in no way affiliated with Spiked Rich and receives no revenue from purchases.* Ever had nitrogen ice cream before? How about a boozy milkshake served in a lightbulb? If you haven't and have a need for over-the-top sweets, one dessert shop in South Florida, Spiked Rich, might just need to be your next dessert date. Spiked Rich is a father-son-owned business that opened its doors in 2017 with one principle: To create a place where customers can relax and make memories with something tasty in hand. That's why they've created a dessert shop experience with over 3 billion possible combinations. When you walk into Spiked Rich, you'll be greeted with a steampunk factory vibe, with cutsom-made props, gears, cogs, and brushed metal facades. The booze-infused ice creams at this spot steal the show; but that begs the question, what makes it so unique? Aside from their variety of alcohol-infused treats, Spiked Rich's ceramists utilize a unique flash-freezing process that introduces nitrogen to either a cream, non-dairy, or yogurt base at negative 321 degrees Fahrenheit. This process gets all the ice crystals out of the ice cream, creating their signature delicately smooth texture, all while they put on a show with each ice cream dish they create. “The fusion of alcohol and nitrogen ice cream is a hallmark of the company’s innovative spirit where ice cream isn’t just a dessert — it’s an experience,” says CEO, Jeffrey Saunders. There are a lot of different options on their menu for each type of ice cream lover too — whether you like yours sundae'd-up and topped with all the fixings, need it made into a massive alcohol-infused milkshake served in a container that looks like an upside-down lightbulb, or have the hankering to try one of their limited-time shakes and mega cookies. For those who like a little customizability, you can build your own milkshakes and cups with 24 ice cream flavors and 39 total toppings and sauces. But their pre-built options have quite a broad range of flavor profiles for every type of palate. Just a couple of their signature menu options include the Cookie Monster — a blue cookies and cream ice cream topped with crushed Oreos, Cookie Crisps, and Chocolate Fudge — and the Lucky Charms, which features a cake batter ice cream, Lucky Charms pieces, mini marshmallows, and marshmallow fluff. Every sweet treat can be made without alcohol infusion as well. You can find Spiked Rich's first location on University Drive in Davie, however, a second location opened in downtown Doral just last year. You can find their addresses and hours below. What do you think, is Spiked Rich worth the hype, or are you letting this ice cream melt? Been to Spiked Rich before? Share your thoughts in the comments! Spiked Rich Address:
