A woman was cited for keeping a juvenile alligator in a bathtub, according to the Sept. 8-14 weekly report by the Federal Fish and Wildlife Conservation Comission. The report noted that Orange County Sheriff's Office received information regarding an individual in possession of an alligator being kept inside of a bathtub. When Officer Navarino arrived at the scene, it was discovered that a juvenile alligator was indeed being kept in a bathtub. After interviewing the person present, it was revealed that the woman had taken the alligator from her previous workplace without permission. The officer determined that she had no right to have the alligator and she was issued a citation as a result. The alligator was returned to its authorized owner.
