When you are planning to stay in Florida, your options are almost unlimited. But with big name hotels and resorts dominating the vacation market, it can be easy to miss the locally-owned hidden gems like this super unique converted 1894 train car rental. Thankfully, Uncovering Florida is here to tell you about them so the next time you are planning a trip to the Sunshine State, you can book a rental as unique as your vacation! 

In today's feature we have the aptly named "2 Trains one house" listing, offering a rare opportunity for guests to stay two over century old converted train cars. The cars, which were restored and renovated in 2021, are put together to make up one house.

Though the cars have been renovated to include all modern amenities including bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas, as evidenced in the listing photos, the cars still maintain much of their original charm. 

"We loved the place such a unique home, loved how they uncovered the trains and let their beauty be seen again. Loved the attention to the décor and sharing the before and after pictures of the house it makes you appreciate it that much more," a reviewer noted, in part. 

The rental is located only a few miles from New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and can host up to six people. It is also noted that the rental is pet-friendly (up to two non-aggressive dogs) for renters staying longer than 28 days. 

The average cost per night is $225--which spilt between six people is less than $40/night each!
