You can pet & feed sharks for a limited time at SeaWorld

There's something about sharks that sparks equal parts fear and admiration in the hearts of many. Whether it's their power that awes you or something else altogether, a limited-time hands-on experience at SeaWorld Orlando this week gives shark fanatics a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with these predators of the deep.

Starting today, July 21, and running through July 28, 2023, guests can book a multi-adventure ticket that the theme park has dubbed the 'Ultimate Shark Experience.'

The experience includes admission to SeaWorld Orlando, as well as memorable moments of seeing, feeding, touching, and learning about sharks through a series of up-close encounters for $199 — and comes with a couple of exclusive extras.

A behind-the-scenes tour included only in the Ultimate Shark Experience takes visitors above the aquarium to see and learn about these sea beasts from shark curators and educators while also offering a unique perspective of the tanks below.

While the Shark feeding experience included in this ticket runs all day, the shark touch and aquarium tour will run daily at timeslots available between 2 pm and 5 pm.

Also included in the $199 price is a one-time quick queue ticket to seek thrills with a ride on the shark-themed Mako coaster, a complimentary bite and shark-inspired beverage from any quick service restaurant at the park, and your choice of available shark souvenirs.

Souvenirs up for grabs include a wide range of items, such as a shark plush, hats, blankets, and t-shirts, among others.

Those who may feel a bit taken aback about spending that much cash on a shark experience may be happy to hear that a portion of the proceeds finds their way back to shark conservation efforts, with $25 from every Ultimate Shark Experience purchase going directly to shark-specific conservation programs outside of SeaWorld Parks.
